Diarrhea is the most common side effect and can sometimes be severe. Diarrhea often begins within the first 4 weeks of Trulance treatment. If you get severe diarrhea, stop taking Trulance and call your doctor right away.
Do not take Trulance if a doctor has told you that you have a bowel blockage (intestinal obstruction).
Studies indicated that Trulance is not expected to interact with other medications.
Keep an open dialogue with your doctor about your experiences taking Trulance. Talking openly about your bowel movements, no matter how awkward it may seem, is essential to helping your doctor find a successful treatment that works for you.
